Games for Windows Marketplace games still not available to download.

Games purchased on Game for Windows Marketplace are still not available for download after several years now. Microsoft have utterly failed to honour their agreement such games' sale.

I do appreciate that the Games for Windows Marketplace has been shutdown and that setting it up again is not viable. But that means that Microsoft should offer purchasers of games on the service those games for free elsewhere, whether that be the Microsoft Store, Steam, GOG, or elsewhere.

These are purchases that are still present on our Microsoft accounts. So therefore access to them is our right as purchasers.

So, Microsoft, how are you going to go about fixing this?

Hi,

Sorry, games purchased on a physical disc that have the Games For Windows LIVE marker need to be installed from that DVD. If you don't have the DVD anymore you won't be able to install that game disc using just the CD Key. Only games purchased digitally can
be downloaded from the Games for Windows LIVE marketplace client.

Sea of Thieves will only work on Windows 10.

Also be aware that Windows 7 will be discontinued in less than 9 months, and you will not receive any security updates anymore, making your PC vulnerable to malware!

If you have a valid Windows 7 license, you can simply
download Windows 10 from Microsoft here, and use your Windows 10 serial number to install Windows 10. While officially the free upgrade from Windows 7 has ended, Microsoft doesn't block new Windows 10 installs with previous version keys.

Just make sure you download Windows 10 from the above link ONLY and not other download portals! Only use the official download site for Windows 10!

Sometimes this problem is caused by corrupted files or impending updates. Try to delete the Windows Marketplace application, clear your system's cache and download the application again. This will get rid of the corrupted files so the update can be complete
enabling the game download.

Any game that was on xbox 360 previously and not announced as coming to xbox one will not be available to download on the marketplace. So you cannot download BF3 or Dark Souls.
