    After downloading the Windows Game Live app > launch > it gives the well known connection error (while my pc is connected), this problem is huge:
    = tried to download these steps, also does not work.

    Really annoying that now I/we can no longer play many big games online, really weird that Microsoft does not offer any solution at all, they simply say download games from Microsoft store = this is no solution as we can play offline without this store, there
    is simply no support anymore for this app, making all these games useless thanks to giving no support.

    Hopefully the gaming industry will no longer work with any Microsoft apps in the future as it will lead into trouble and no support in the end!

    Change Gamer/Zune/Windows Phone Tag

    I'm unable to change the Gamertag because i don't have an xbox and the "games for windows live" software no longer works, i have the required 800 Microsoft Points but it seems i can't do this little thing.

    Maybe from the windows 8 app? or windows phone? can someone help me?

    Your right it is actually really good so far, seems faster and it has more of a Windows 7 look to it, like the Xbox App.. Only problem i had was installing MB Drivers because of compatibility but just changed it to Windows 7 in properties! So far so good! I still don't know how it is free forever if it is upgraded within the year, i upgraded for the activation then i put the .ISO on a disc and ran a clean install removing all the previous Windows, skipped product key and it still activated when i got online... What is our Windows 10 Product Key linked to? Will our old Windows Product Key be our Windows 10 key when the free upgrade ends? And will that Product Key no longer work for the older version? What would happen after a big hardware change... Microsoft!

    So i have a question about the microsoft store and someother xbox questions.

    Game Room was shutdown and delisted back in 2015 due to issues with the publisher if I remember correctly. So there is no longer a way to download it.

    I'm not sure if the store on Windows 8.1 is different from Windows 10, but it is possible since there are things that will not work on both.

    Games for Windows Live was discontinued in 2014.

    You don't need Gold for playing online on a Windows PC , however you cannot game share on windows 10 as the Home Xbox option is only for Console gaming, you will have to play with the same account on split-screen.

    Thanks for reaching us out here. I am afraid that this cannot be supported anymore here. Microsoft no longer provides customer support for individual Games for Windows Live titles.

    Looked through some of the help articles - man the information is confusing.

    Anyways from what I'm inferring from the posts is that you can play Windows 10 to Windows 10, and Pocket Edition to Windows 10 and that's it right now.
