If you have a Windows 10 device, you can now use the Xbox app to connect to the Xbox Live service.

If it's the PC version of the game you are trying to play, then you need to download the Games for Windows Live client. You should be able to download that from here https://support.xbox.com/en-GB/games/game-setup/games-for-windows-live-info. Just install
it, and you should be able to play the game.
