Games for gold wont download

Well I've had virgin media out all morning upgraded my package the technican assured everything was running how it should be and yet still I can't download the games with gold

 

Just to mention Virginmedia are having a lot of issues with over utilisation and packet loss on their network and I have been having the exact same issue as my regions fault is from the 26th of Feb to the 13th of May.

This is wholly the fault of VM and not MS, if you wish to find out more then head on over to the Virgin community forums or your ISP if different.

Also get the fault code and you will be entitled to a rebate of sorts from the ISP

 

This is a work around which is totally legit.

If you know someone with the download that works you can download your profile to their console and then sign in with your profile and download the game again which takes seconds, being still signed in with your profile on their console copy the game to
a USB flash drive, once copied over remove your profile from the friends console, now go to your console and copy the game from the USB flash drive to your consoles hard drive and voila it will work no problem.

The reason why you have to download the profile to another console is because your profile info needs to be associated with the download.

DON'T FORGET TO REMOVE YOUR PROFILE FROM THE FRIENDS CONSOLE AND WHEN DOWNLOADING IT MAKE SURE NOBODY IS WATCHING YOU ENTER YOUR ACCOUNT DETAILS (email and password).

If you have a bt hub modem not the router

Theree is a solution

There are many work around for their throttling which seems to be causing their issues

A technician cannot tell if you have an issue unless you download the file with him there

Gaming and their services uses different protocols then your computer

So him doing a download test on his laptop wont show any issues because thats what fibre is built and their routers are made for it

Virgin has been banned fromadvertising due to throttling andclaims of the fastest speed even with issues specifically with gaming

 

If you ask them specific questions

Im having trouble with gaming services with Large downloads

They can make adjustments to your router settings to fit the service

 

Ahhhhhhhhi cant download mafia 2 it's a joke a total joke how many people have to complain before u fix it people cant download with a good speed and have said it's only happens since 2 month back come on fix it it's really annoying now it cant download
so far and then just stop for no reason at all would be different if it went to the same Pont and then stops but no it varies so it can't be nothing to do with speed .plus I've also tried at a friends house and same happens to me as it happens to him .CANT
DOWNLOAD so my friend has slow speed and all the others who have posted on these forums

Ok, now is in the "games with gold" new game - Mafia II. Till now, i downloaded this games for gold without any problems, but now, this game is not free for my region (Czech republic - -in Europe). My question is, why i pay for gold account, if i dont get
the games?? (sory for my english)

 

Is your acciunt region czech republic since it is an xbox live region or is it uk?

If uk that would be why your account region has to reflect your actual region

 

Guys try this it WORKED for me.....when your download stops clear system cach three times DON'T delete the part downloaded file...restart your download before your download says cant download. Unplug or pull power from back of console plug back in and hopefully
