    Games For Gold - System Error with Completing Purchasing during Games for Gold Promotion


    I contacted Xbox Support and was advised to create a post regarding an issue I had with trying to purchase Rory McilRoy PGA Tour during the Games for Gold promotion while it was $9.99. My brothers were all downloading and trying to purchase the game, two
    of us were able to, and two of us got messages indicating it was not able to process the request and try again later and provided an Error Code, when we tried to go back in and try it the next day to take advantage of the deal, the promotion had expired. I
    was informed by Xbox Phone support to create this ticket to have it investigated to have the promotion reapplied to my account so that i can again try to purchase it for the discounted price since this was a system error that prevented us from being able to
    buy it. My gamertag it should be under is . My brother also had the same issue ad his gamertag is mikedatruebeast, he may be calling Xbox support to open his own ticket for this incident. Please resolve this issue immediately so that i can purchase
    the game for promotion price since this was a system error and not a customer error and we should not have to pay the non-promotional price which is now back to $29.99.

    Just to clarify, did you purchase Xbox Live Gold through the dashboard promotion on your console? This is offer is valid for purchasing Xbox Live Gold through the promotion on the dashboard. If you added an Xbox Live Gold token to your account
    during this promotion, it will not qualify you for this promotion.

    I missed the free games last june as the system will not allow me to subscribe for Gold and i want to ask for a complimentary code for the game

    There are no rain checks on issues like this. The promotional games are only available for users with Gold during the time of the promotion. If you were having difficulties getting Gold due to system issues you probably should have contacted billing support
    for help getting that setup.
