Games crash to desktop when both family members play on same network

Hello,

I've signed up for Gamepass recently, and when my spouse and I try to play simultaneously on the same network both games crash to desktop shortly after starting with no error thrown.

This is happening specifically with Back 4 Blood on PC. Playing solo seems to work fine, but when both family members are playing at the same time the issues arise.

Is this a known issue?

First, welcome to the Xbox community. Given the problem you are having, I believe you are using a single account with the game pass subscription, if the answer is yes, this is the problem, on the PC there is no account sharing, this is an exclusive feature of the console because you can define it as a home device, so two people cannot play games on the PC at the same time with a single subscription.

I believe that the game crashes because of this, even if you have logged in to the account with the game pass subscription in the Microsoft Store on the other person's pc, they can only play alone with their profile in the Xbox app, but as I said it will not be possible the two of them play at the same time, even while doing this.

Thanks for this info, I had found a bunch of conflicting information about this specifically relating to PC vs XBOX and that clears it right up! The one thing I found was to sign into the PCs with the Gamepass owning account, then into the XBOX Win10 app with the family accounts. That also did not work.

I don't know that they are saying that either. So if you had 4 consoles Your family members could play on the main while you were not there it sounds like. The question is, you want to log in at the same time as one of your family members. What happens?
Can you both play the same game on different consoles (together)?
