My son and I both have our own xbox 1 consoles. Yes when hes in the living room we play on my console. And he kept my profile on his after I got my own. He bought black ops cold war and I downloaded it to his console ( hes in the army). He bought a laptop
to connect to his xbox didnt do much but his profiles are linked.

Can cold war be downloaded to my console and played under my gamer tag since his profile is on my xbox. We like to play video games together and now he is gone this hiw we were thinking of being able to play without buying a second copy. Or do I need to
buy my own copy?

I am hoping you want to play the purchased game on both consoles. In that case, you don't have to buy the game again.

You can share your games, gold live and gamepass with your son. If you make your Xbox account as My home Xbox in your son's Xbox he will be able to play the games, gold live and gamepass you bought. And same way you can make your son's Xbox
account as home account in your Xbox console to get the games he bought. Your son can use his own account to play games but he may need to select your account just to start downloading the games you bought.

Note: You can only change your home Xbox up to five times in any one-year period.

Yes, you are able to play Forza Horizon 4 as well as any other
Xbox Play Anywhere game on both console and PC while carrying over your progress.

The game has the Play Anywhere tag on it so if you bought it digitally then you should be able to use it on PC and Xbox. The license will be attached to your gamertag.
