Games and movies lose sound after several minutes of play

I have also been having issues. I will have sound for a couple of minutes (while watching tv) then lose my sound. I have also run through all my sound options and they are fine. I have yet to test playing a game but I'm frustrated enough. Though I have a
longer time with sound while on my fumigation app. But will still lose sound.

Just updated my xbox app on windows 10 the other day. Still having issues. Stream would work fine for several minutes and then lose connection. After the first loss of connection it won't last for more than 2 minutes before losing it again. Been having
issues since the summer update.

I have a western digital 1TB hard drive and I connected it to my Xbox one to play the movies that o had on it. Unfortunately,it randomly loses its connection to the Xbox one after random time intervals. I thought that this had to deal with the drove going
to sleep. Because initially it would lose connection after 30 minutes, which was the time that the sleep timer is set to by default. I went into the settings of the wd software that came with the drive and set the timer to never and saved the changes. This
worked for a short while, but now it randomly loses its connection right in the middle of a movie which is by far the most irritating thing. I assume it has to deal with the Xbox one OS because when I stream it from my surface with the hard drive it does not
lose connection.

It's very hard to get things done in Microsoft because one minute they tell you post on the Xbox insiders Reddit and then the second minute they tell you that it's only for the Insiders special new test OS stuff and not for the current version of Xbox.

I don't know where to go with this stuff I go to the places publicly where you should go, but nothing happens

There's like four or five different Xbox places pointing to each other and each sloughing off the responsibility.

Where does the buck stop?

I understand you have to climb a few hurdles to get there but it should work.

By the way the Dolby Atmos headphone app sounds great with any Dolby movie but sounds average with any DTS or LPCM movie.

Simile the DTs X headphone app sounds great with any DTS movie but sounds average with any Dolby or lpcm movie.

I never tried it but I assume Windows Sonic sounds best with lpcm movies directly.

By the way I have it set it so it outputs to headphone so therefore the processing is done before it reaches the surround processor which would be external of the Xbox because the outside surround processor comes after the soundnis passsed out on the Xbox.

Since the surround sound box processes the sound after it goes to the Xbox then it is not the Xbox that processes it into lpcm but the box after the Xbox which processes the Dolby or DTS or native lpcm.
