    Hello,

    I got the Game Pass and installed Doom Eternal. I launch Doom Eternal and get a prompt with the below message. I'm unable to play the game, unless i agree to them accessing this information.

    DOOM Eternal - PC needs your permission to:

    • Access your Xbox Live profile information and associated data, and sign you in to its services: DOOM Eternal - PC will be able to access basic properties about your Xbox Live profile including your gamertag, friends list, activity, stats and rankings, settings and content you share. Learn more at aka.ms/datasharing.
    Given the information being requested, for example "Friends List" access, if in my Privacy settings have been set to "Block", under the "Others can see your friends list", can the game/company still see who are in my friends list?

    This applies to all the information that's being requested access too and if those are set to block, does at block this kind of request?

    Hi Ricardo,

    Very confusing setup,

    Forced MS account to install the game.

    Xbox store on my PC shows no installed games in Library.

    Online account shows Forza Horizon 5 in my Consent permissions but no install information no information on what I have given permission for.

    Steam shows game in Library.

    I will put this down to having to have a FORCED MS account in order to install a XBox game on the PC.

    Final status - installing through the MS Store seems like workaround for now.

    Game works after installing this way through the Xbox app.

    Just to confirm, you're unable to install it on Xbox app and MS store? Are you playing the game through the game pass?

    Xbox or Windows 10?

    It seems having purchased the game, I need to access the MS Store from within Windows 10. Doing so gave me the option to install the game. Accessing the Store from my browser didn't give any such option.

    I am assuming that, given that the MS Windows 10 Store has allowed me to install the game (even though its just a place maker install, the game has yet been released), proves that I bought the Windows 10 version and not the Xbox version.

    I have encountered this problem when my kids can't access games that I purchased on my home account(downstairs xbox) through their xbox(upstairs)

    Who's account did you install it on? If you purchased it and gifted it to your wife's account then it probably means that you have to log into her account to redownload it from the store as it would be linked her her account then shared through the home
    xbox for other users to access
