It really depends on if you want to play online, or have lots of games to play.

You need Xbox Live Gold if you want to play online like you said.

Xbox Game pass is great if you want to have lots of games to play.

Keep in mind that
Xbox game pass Ulitimate is launching later this year, which will combine the two memberships.

Im getting error 0xc0000005 when trying to open the game on PC.

I have xbox ulitimate game pass. Running 11900k 3080ti 32gb ram. Tried every recomendation ive found online. nothing works. apparently the game works if you buy it through steam.... cheers microsoft

The price you pay for Gamepass is actually a bargain for the amount of games you are able to play. If the game you downloaded is something you don't enjoy you can just uninstall it, you wont loose any money.

With Game Pass Ulitimate releasing later this year it is even better. Gold and Game Pass for one price.
