Gamertag Troubles

I have been using the username for every website, social media, and platform since I made the name over a decade ago. For some reason, attempting to set this as my gamertag on Xbox is always met with a firm NO even though it is not taken, and is
not even a real word. I have been given no information as to why this is an issue and phone support refused to help me.

I created a new Microsoft Account under my other main email and was able to register as my username on that account instantly. Why the discrepancy here? Why is my life-long username considered harsh language or otherwise, and why is this filter different
between pc and xbox methods of entering it?

Are you sure its not taken? Because chyc kun or ChycKun is the same thing

Spaces nor caps makes a name different given that it could be among thousands od different combinations its unlikely you would.find the exact combination

And no trying for a gamertag will NOT pull up the exact combination

When searching you have to have the EXACt Context of the name

Is the account under an Microsoft owned domain email Hotmail,outlook. If so try to login or reset password to check for anything. But if it was under any other email for example Yahoo,Gmail, and AOL I'm not sure its possible to update e-mails. Or maybe
your account was outdated and you needed to make a new account. Not completely sure.

Can I have the phone number? Every time I go to contact us in leads me back here. I have yet to find an actual Microsoft phone number.

Hi there,

I personally think that somehow you ended up with two xbox live accounts connected to the same Microsoft Account, in that case I do advise you to contact Xbox Support (by Phone) they should be able to take a more indept look to see what happened and hopefully
fix the issue or at least guide you through the steps to fix it.
