    Gamertag Still hasn’t changed but I’ve been charged


    So I purchased a Gamertag change 36 hours agoish as of posting this, the purchase went through and all was fine but when it finalized the purchase there was a split second error code saying, “This Gamertag was taken please try again” but it closed the menu and I couldn’t change it or try to fix it. Again, it’s been 36 hours and I’ve yet to see my Gamertag changed, is there anything I can do?

    Hi,

    be sure to check what it shows at your transactions on your account, to see if the purchase for the gamertag change itself was indeed completed or if it was cancelled due to the error that the Gamertag was already taken.

    You should be able to see any past orders here:

    https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders

    If you did pay for the change, but you still can see the new gamertag anywhere then you might want to contact Xbox Support (via Phone), they will be the only ones that are able to look into your account etc. You can contact them via https://support.xbox.com/contact-us

    If the payment was cancelled or refunded then you may want to try and change your gamertag again.

    To effectively clarify this issue, you need to contact Microsoft support directly via chat so that they can help you.

    Yeah i’ve checked the purchase history and it hasn’t come up on there yet but I was still charged the for the game and I cant refund it because I don’t have anything to refund I just got charged for nothing

    and don't wonder if ithows the new Gt and next time you log in it shows the old again or both(!).

    That could all happen during that week depending on what server you are playing ! ^^
