    Gamertag Refund


    I had a gamertag for over 5 years and one day the Enforcement Department decided to change it to a highly offensive name (even if it was computer generated, it was offensive). I paid the $9.99 to get the gamertag that was not offensive and requested a refund
    as I shouldn’t have been forced to pay for something to get corrected.

    Again, I tried 3 times, spending over 7 hours trying to get a refund/response from MS without any luck.

    Fast forward to June and the Enforcement Department again changed my gamertag to something that offends my religion, which many random gamers have been expressing to me that it offends them too (which I can onlu say, I get it, but there is nothing I can
    do as the Enforcement Unit had my gamertag hostage).

    So, yeah, more than frustrated with this substandard service. It’s crazy how good the MS products have gotten over the years, but their service has learned many tips from Comcast and EA on how to treat it’s customers.

    If you want to change your gamertag it will cost you $10. This is part of the punishment for doing something against the ToU and CoC of the Live service. The money will not be added to your account to do this.

    I would also like to add that if [Mod Removed] was deemed as inappropriate by the PET then it would stand to reason that the tag you want to pick would be deemed inappropriate as well.

    Please remember that if you have too many enforcement actions on your account it could be permanently banned.

    A forced Gamertag change automatically assigns a new Gamertag to the account, much in the same way a system-generated Gamertag is provided when you first sign up for Xbox Live.

    If a player is unhappy with the assigned Gamertag and wishes to change it, he or she may purchase a new Gamertag through the

    standard Gamertag change process    .

    You don't. Gamertag changes are not eligible for refund.

    i asked my parents to change the gamertag with money then refund it and they said no way.
    That would be fraud anyway and there are no refunds on gamertag changes.
