    With having a proxy on xbox, there are no methods other than to manually shut off the proxy. If your network has a built-in proxy, you cannot turn that off (unless your provider allows it).

    That tag is already in use so there is no way you can get it unless the original owner changes it, or they don't sign in for 5 years.

    Yes it is my gamertag and I'm trying to change it through an Android tablet. I don't use a VPN, firewall or proxy.

    Xbox does not support any class of VPN or proxy the only way to do it is by using a router, in case you are looking to use a VPN for security reasons

    I must say that using a VPN trying to circumvent regional content restrictions is against the Community Standards for Xbox.

    I was just gonna use it for security reasons, but I suppose that's a Ouch for Xbox since Playstation and Nintendo offers it. Thanks for the answer
