Discus and support Gamertag Prohibited Text in XBoX Accessibility to solve the problem; I wanted to change my gamertag on Xbox to “Kegflin” however I get an error saying im using prohibited text.     Gamertag Prohibited Text


    I wanted to change my gamertag on Xbox to “Kegflin” however I get an error saying im using prohibited text. I tried “Keg” and it was prohibited, I also tried “Flin” and that is also prohibited. Why is Keg and Flin even probibited, I feel like Microsoft should
    update their blacklisted words because it really doesnt make sense how “Flin” is offensive and “Keg” shouldnt be banned when you can change your gamertag to “stoner” or something to do with marijuana use.

    Prohibited Text in Clan Tag

    If its an in game clan tag then its on them (developers) as far as I know. If it doesn't work the only solution seems to be to enter something else in there as a CT.

    Or keep asking Activision or Treyarch what the issue is exactly.

    There's probably no harm in telling us what gamertag you're trying to change to, since the system is telling you that it is taken. Maybe we'll be able to tell you which version is taken, or whether it is in fact triggering the content filter (despite
    being your surname).

    I don't know if prohibited text in a gamertag change request triggers an actual "text not allowed" message or the generic "gamertag is taken" error. But keep in mind that gamertags cannot differ only by spaces: because you are
    John S117 Sll, I could not change to JohnS117Sll (without spaces)-- the system would tell me that the gamertag is taken.
