Gamertag Preference Setting for Xbox

Head to Settings>Preferences with both gamertags and ensure that only one is set to automatically sign in.

Hey there KwaziiCat! I've seen this happen before when someone changes the email tied to their gamertag but doesn't change their contact email. On xbox.com, sign in with your gamertag email then look up at the top right corner (under your Gamertag) and click
on "My Account." Then, under "Settings and Preferences" click on "Contact Preferences". Then make sure your email address is set to the preferred contact email.

At the top of the page, near your Gamertage, click on Account. Then scroll down, on the right will be Settings and Preferences. Click on Forums Preferences and scroll down. There is a text box for you to put in your signature.

To alter your email notifications click on your Gamertag on the top right of this screen and select "Xbox Settings" from the drop down menu.

On the left of the screen select "Forum Preferences" and then "email"

You can apply your preferred settings there and don't forget to hit the save button at the bottom before leaving the page.

If this is not your gamertag, which is "BenPlays", then you should be able to change it in your email settings. Log into your email and look for preferences or options and look for your name or the signature settings to change it.

If the name you're talking about IS "BenPlays" then you will have to purchase a gamertag change.
