    We know later in the year Xbox will celebrate 20 years. Live came out a year later in 2002.

    What I want to know is how do we find out the date we created our gamertag for the original xbox when it came out in 2001?

    Yes, it is permanent and gamertags that have been inactive for years (Such as those original gamertags) will reset and will be available to anyone, but there is no date on when they are available.

    Hi there,

    If the date of birth entered when the account was originally created does not put the account at the age of majority for the region the account is in, you'll have to wait until that time before you can change your gamertag.

    Changing the date of birth after account creation will not change it in the system to allow the account to be an adult.

    That would be the reason you cannot open a case review then. At the time your gamertag was originally banned you would have been able to post to the suspensions forums. Case Reviews are not back dated and are for recent enforcement actions only
