    Gamertag Obliterated and I was Forced to Start a Brand New Account


    This morning I woke up to play Xbox after playing roughly 12hrs ago. Logging into my machine I was asked to create a new account. After repeatedly trying to back out of the process I was logged in automatically and it appears my previous account, , has been completely obliterated and I have an all new gamertag with 0 gamerscore and no associated save data. doesnt even show up on the friends list for my friends anymore.

    I have been on Xbox LIVE since the day after the launch of Halo 2. I hope this is not a system wide issue. From what I can tell, my Microsoft Account is still intact with all the right data and subscriptions. It just seems that my gamertag was effectively deleted from the system and I am having to start over again like a brand new player in all games and in the Xbox ecosystem.

    Hello The, if you don't have any kind of ban or suspension on your account, contact Xbox support as mentioned above.

    Go to: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/contact-us/

    See the bottom left part of the page and make sure that the page has the correct region that you are in (ex: United States - English for USA)

    If not, click on it then select the correct region that you are in.

    Check and confirm that you are within the available time of support under Contact times.

    Click Contact us

    Select the drop-down menu options that will match your concern.

    On the page, see the provided support articles that may help you with your concern. Click See contact options if further assistance is needed.

    On the next page, select either Chat online or Request a call option then follow or enter the needed details.

    You should sign into enforcement.xbox.com to see if there has been some kind of action against the account

    We don't work for Microsoft so we don't have the option to do that. You'll need to change the category/topic until it gives you the options to either request a call back or chat with support.

    Thanks for reaching out. I have tried that as well. Unfortunately, there just isnt an option for having your account fully reset and losing your GT, Score, and all Save Data.

    Anything I select as a sub-category for Account and Profile only allows me to speak to a bot that doesnt have relevant questions. Is there anyway you can elevate this issue to get me in contact with someone that can look at my account directly?
