    so i’m trying to change my gamertag to match EVERY OTHER ACCOUNT i own and game on. i want my gamertag to be “” as in, shorts worn by a dad. and it wont allow that name, but “dad shortss” is allowed? i don’t want a space in my name, because i
    think it’s ugly, and don’t know why this is. i don’t see anything offensive in my name or anything that would break the rules? just very confused.

    Also, do spaces and capitalization in gamertags allow for different ones? For example, if I were to create a John Smith and a john smith would they be the same thing and not be allowed, or would they both be created?

    The gamertag in question is already taken. If you remove the space between the "avenger" and the "i" the tag is already in use. Putting a space in the tag will not allow you to use it.

    Spaces are still allowed. It's just that the system doesn't recognize the difference so even if you were to add a space to a gamertag, if it's in use as a tag without a space the system will tell you it's in use.
