Gamertag has not changed...?

I payed for a gamertag change a couple of days ago and it still hasn't changed. When I have done it in the past it has been instant.

I have deleted and logged back into my account on my Xbox, even tried it on my friends xbox too. I also went through my transactions on my Microsoft account and I have been charged for it so it should of changed.

Anyone got any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Gamertag has not changed

I purchased a "gamer tag change". I was charged for it but I haven't seen my new gamer tag update on any of my profiles.

You need to wait for 24-48 hrs for the change to be reflected on the service servers. If you still have issues after that period you can contact xbox chat support account section to check this out: Contact Us | Xbox Support

Have you had a chance to check that the purchase was completed? You can check your purchases and billing info over on
account.microsoft.com, if you don't see a transaction for the name change it sounds like it didn't go through. Let us know what you find

You would most likely need to give Xbox Support a call with the account details, maybe they will have a record as to why it was changed.

I didn't think that Xbox were changing Gamertags but deleting old ones that were no longer being used.

Microsoft have never changed gamertags that were similar & would never change someones gamertag unless it violated the CoC.

Not knowing the previous tag & what it is now I can't say whether that happened so, as mentioned,contact support

Hello,

Please contact phone support if you believe that someone has gained access to your account in an unauthorized way. Once you're at the contact us page click Billing & Memberships,
under Account Management click Account Compromised/Stolen, and then finally Request a Call.
