    Gamertag characters


    I was changing a friends name on his account but apparently mine was logged in. I literally clicked on sign in with different accounts but the name effected my account and i lost my name paid for a new one. Im not happy with my new one. I want my old back
    but it is 13 characters and the new count 12 for some stupid reason smh.

    yes I am having problem with changing my gamertag and it says your gamertag needs to be 12 characters or less could you guys fix it to more characters I am trying to get a new gamertag like to 24 characters the gamertag that I am trying to get 16 characters

    If you had a truly accidental change youu might be able to get support help via chat or call to help change it back. I had ssomerthing similar happen, but it was before the gamertag updates so it may no longer be possible.

    Update: If I try a gamertag with 14 or less characters, it seems to move forward. However the character limit is supposed to be 15 and the new gamertag I want has 15 characters. :-(

    It is possible to have a gamertag with three characters, in fact it's possible to have a gamertag with only one character. The problem you have would be availability. Most (if not all) gamertags less than four characters would
    have already been taken by someone else.
