    I just changed my gamertag by accident my friends said you have to pay and when I checked availability it changed my name and would like a forced name change to change my name back cause I didn’t mean to change it I don’t know why this happened

    But i cant help xbox glitched i only checked availability and it changed i never wanted to change it in the first place now im forced to pay $10 for a name change

    Forced gamertag changes only happen if the gamertag is offensive. There is no way to change it back, so you either have to pay for a new gamertag or stick with it.

    Xbox didn't glitch. Awhile ago when xbox gave the opportunity for same gamertags with a number code after it, everyone had a free gamertag change. Unfourantaly if you want to change it back, you are going to have to pay $10 to change it back.

    Even if you did get a forced name change you would be given a random gamertag & would still have to pay to have a tag of your choosing.

    Like Stuart said,they only issue forced name changes if your gamertag violates the CoC/ToU. You can't request a forced name change.
