Discus and support Gamertag change question in XBoX Accessibility to solve the problem; so I was changing my gamertag, and this is the second time I'm changing it but there wasn't any information or warnings regarding additional fees ,...     so I was changing my gamertag, and this is the second time I'm changing it but there wasn't any information or warnings regarding additional fees , will I get charged?

    [/quote]In short, yes. You'll have to pay 800 points to free up the name on gamertag A, and another 800 to change Gamertag B to Gamertag A. I've done this before. It may not be instant that the name becomes available again, however.

    nope nothing can be done if it is not selectable then it is not selectable your just gonna have to create a more creative tag FYI tags are also used for windows live PC games as well as Zune and Xbox live.

    It's a Glitch either just give it some time or try to Recover (Download) your Profile again.

    Thank you both for the helpful responses. Had i been able to find these in the rules i could have saved you both time in reading this long rant/post. It would be hoo of the xbox team to incorporate a more detailed gamertag. It has been a while since i thought
    of attempting to change my tag so i suppose the changes regarding symbols was a new piece of info. Thank you again.
