Gamertag change 9,99 €

Hi xbox Team,

what is wrong with you? 9,99 € for changing my gamertag? How about to change it for free, like in Steam? I will not support such a platform that rips off its customers like that. Xbox died for me.

BTW: You can be sure that my nephew will not get an xbox on his birthday.

A Gamertag change is priced at 9,99$ or the equivalent in your currency.

Enforcement only applies a forced gamertag change if its against the ToS / CoC.

Better explain more thoroughly, or other users who read this thread would jump the gun too soon......

According to a forum (I would give credit to ultra-combo.com. Hate to say but, other forums do even better than the "official one". Ironic.), Xbox charges for Gamertag (GT) changing "because of the change of records. They have FILES upon FILES with your
name on it. Everytime you license transfer, buy anything, send a message, earn an achievment. That’s a lot of information to keep track of, and when you change your GT there is an age old issue of verification. When you sign onto your Xbox with your account,
the Xbox knows it’s your account. Cause Well… Idfk. It’s just there ig. And when you, for example, try to use a backwards compatible game, it wont verify properly. You might not have access to your files, Xbox live gold memberships, etc., because of the GT
change. It’s weird, but that’s just about all we know about GT changes."

"The fee has always been there, but people used to abuse it by asking others to report their GT, so they could change it for free. This particular loophole, however, was closed because now if you’re reported and forced into a GT change, it chooses 1 automatically
for you, and you still have to pay to change it again. If your GT is reported multiple times, it can lead to more serious punishments (like being temporarily suspended or even permanently banned - this helps prevent people from continuing to do it until they
get a GT change that they like)."

So, if you are changing your GT frequently, you can explain why so. Maybe you can share it here. If you are reasonable, I shall ask the others to support you and stop those money devils rip off our throat!!!
