Gamertag Chage

My gamer tag for Xbox Live on PC is dklhkladfhlkdfg. I never picked that name. Years ago I tried to make a PC Xbox Live Account and it told me I already had one.

I changed the password and logged in to see the username: dklhkladfhlkdfg

At the time I didn't think anything of it because I never played games through Live on PC. I always played games via steam.

Steam is going through some problems with developers and games are no longer released day one on steam. So I am forced to buy them from the Win 10 store or the Epic games store.

I personally don't like the epic games store for my own reasons and would rather not give them the business. But with my gamer tag that I never picked stuck at dklhkladfhlkdfg I am hesitant to buy games from Microsoft because that's what people will see
if I want to play a game with them.

I would like to change my username to the one I use on all other platforms so people will know who I am. The username is available on Xbox Live for PC and contains no words or terms that would go against terms of service. I am not going to post the name
here because knowing how the internet works someone will see it and claim it just so I can't have it.

I tried to change the name but I have no free name change and I am not paying 10 bucks to change my name since I didn't pick this one in the first place.

Please allow me to change my name for free.

I know you wont but it never hurts to ask.
