Gamertag Avalibility

I recently wanted to change my gamertag to something new, and I made a name that I really liked. I pressed "Check Availability" on the name change site, and the name has a suffix applied to it, implying that someone took that name before me. So, I went to the Xbox app to check who has the name, and nobody came up!

Can someone help me!

Well, sincerely it's hard to tell what's going on, but this gamertag system is automated

So if it's telling you it's not available without the suffix, is not available
Is not possible to modify it or change it

after 7 years do the gamertags become avalible because trhe gamertag i want has been inactive for 8 years
