Try using this link to change your GT back :
https://social.xbox.com/changegamertag If you used this and NOT the original FREE GT change, then try changing directly via the Xbox. If you have used both, unfortunately you will have to pay for the change

Thanks for reaching out to us. Unfortunately once a gamertag change has gone through, I don't think there is anything else that can be done, apart from paying for another change.

go to https://beta.support.xbox.com/contact-us

click the Contact button

select Family and Online Safety as the category

select I Want to Protect My Account as the topic

skip the notification

scroll to the bottom of the options and select either Chat Online or Request a Call to talk to a member of Support

i think somehow we caught a glirtch when we were switching ive tried to change my gamertag back and it said it will charge because ive had it for over thirty days i have had the same gamertab for over 4-5 years never changed it.
