    So my Brother and Me created microsoft accounts about 2 years ago.

    Now microsoft made a family out of our accounts where im an adult and my brother a child.

    Problem:

    My brother wanted to change his gamerpic to a picture that he took with his camera, but in the xbox app it says that he is not an adult and only adults can have custom gamerpics. AND YES, I changed his account to Adult, but it didn`t do anything.

    And I dont want to wait till my bros account grows older than 18.

    Note: I love microsoft, but this Family thing is such a pain to my brain. Cant we just have normal accounts with normal rights, I mean come on!

    Anyone else disappointed by the lack of Gamerpics on Xbox One?

    I understand there are other, more important things, for MS and us to be concerned about. I also understand not everyone cares, but what's up with the lack of Gamerpics on Xbox One?

    It's been over a year and half since the launch of the Xbox One, and there's rarely any Gamerpics. Not only is there a lack of Gamerpics, but the ones that are there suck ass imo. None are game-related, and they're all some weird ass, trippy, art-work.

    What is this?

    The Xbox 360 didn't launch with a lot of Gamerpics either, but the 360 Gamerpic library built up insanely fast, and there were actual game-related pics. Even if it wasn't game-related, most of them were pretty cool.

    The Xbox 360 currently has a library of over 22,000 Gamerpics.

    i can’t change my gamerpic because when i made my account it was set to child. if i put a family member on my account can i then change my gamerpic?

    Changing your Microsoft Account birth date does not change your Xbox account age - that age is permanently connected with your Xbox account and can not be changed.. Your account will be promoted to an adult account when it reaches 18 (20 in Korea and Japan)
    on Xbox One. Then your brother can upload a custom gamerpicture. Xbox support can not change your Xbox Account from child to adult account in any way.

    Can’t change to a custom picture

    When an account is setup the DOB that is put on it is the DOB on the Xbox profile for the life of the Xbox profile.

    Even if you go into your MS account and change the DOB the Xbox profile DOB will not change it will still see the original DOB.

    So if to the OP if your DOB on your MS account when it was originally setup is over 18 and it is still giving you this problem then like DrifterX22 said you would need to sign into your account at account.microsoft.com/family and remove yourself from the
    family. This will then put you into your own family as an adult and should then allow you to put a custom gamerpic.

    If you remove yourself from the family and the DOB on your account when it was originally setup is not over 18 you will NOT be able to do anything on your account until you are added to a family with and adult to supervise your account.

    No, you can't. XBL is very restrictive when it comes to gamerpics - this is probably because they want to keep the service family-friendly.

    If, as you say. it's *inevitable* that bans will result from people using custom gamerpics, then why is MS updating the console to allow for them?

    I can see it now, I upload a gamerpic of myself and someone gets offended that a one armed man was playing hoops without his shirt on. Next thing you know, the banhammer!

    Better for MS NOT to give this easily offended generation any more excuses to. "LORD over you" but then again. It may help to pad MS's $bottom line$ (1st quarter losses)
