    gamerpic changed to a random image


    I recently got Xbox gamer pass and signed in. the profile pic was the default one (just a grey person icon).

    I signed in again later and there was a custom photo as my profile picture; this is perplexing as I haven't been hacked afaik (I reviewed all of my account sign in history and hadn't approved any 2FA logins). based on what I've seen a custom gamerpic can only be added via account.xbox.com.

    has anyone else experienced this? is there a way to find the audit trail for a gamerpic change?

    Unfortunately, there is no way to see the person who may have changed your gamerpic. Your account may have been compromised, I would suggest changing your password and enabling 2FA on the account.

    I had to change mine a second time last week because it hadn't registered properly to the new gamerpic. I would say change to a random picture and then change to the custom gamerpic you actually want to use and see if that solves it

    Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Forums!

    We understand you want to change your gamerpic.
    To change your gamerpic     to a custom image try the following:

    1. Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.
    2. Select Sign in, choose your profile, then select My profile.
    3. Select Customize profile > Change gamerpic.
    4. Choose a gamerpic.

    In the future, if you ever want to change the gamerpic again please avoid:

    • Images intended to harm or harass another person
    • Images that depict nudity or are sexual in nature
    • References to illegal drugs
    • Depictions of real-life violence or excessive violence/gore
    • Images containing personal information
    • References to hate groups, terrorist organizations, or notorious figures
    • Inflammatory images directed towards specific demographic groups

    Xbox Gamerpic back to default, unable to make custom one

    Yeah thing is it has been like this for a few weeks now but as of today it completely vanished, same goes for Bing rewards not showing my custom picture at all (never did to begin with)

    And my general profile image on my MS account cannot be changed aswell

    Side note:

    Also is there a way to change legacy gamerpics used by GFWL and WP still ? It kinda cringes me out to see my egdy 2011 Gamerpic when playing Lost Planet 2 with the boys. It always defaults to some random avatar picture I made (when that came out). I wish to change it to one of yhe bought gamerpic pack picture but can't do get it to show on either WP or GFWL
