Gamer tag stollen

Its amazing how big Microsoft support is, I have had my account since 2003, pay the 60.00 a year for xbox live. I reported that my account had been breached by adding a new device, asked them to please check to see who had taken my account and who had my
personal information. There reply was we will do a investigation on it in the next 24 hours and give you results. No results, account was dormant for 1 month, get on with friends to night, find my account signed in by a pro football player. Wow, so my account
and personal info mean nothing to Microsoft nice to know. Sent a complaint form in, no response, what can you do next, legal? That might be the way to go, thanks for nothing xbox.

Someone gave me a Stollen Account

@Table 24 , I am done misbehaving , and i am trying to help the other people this guy is giving accounts too, My accounts are gone now oh well, but he has about 3more stollen tags he's trying to sell. I'v filed complaints but i'm not sure if the enforcement
team will realise this guy is the one stealing them and selling them.

ummm hate to break it to you but no they cannot hand over private information on who stole your account

Retaliation isn't allowed period

Also from the sounds of it you didn't do it right

one asking for private information about a person is against the law

2 very important ms support has nothing to do with your case you have to Call xbox support and ask for an unauthorized access case which locks your account until they are finished and no it doesn't take 24hours

It can take 2-3 weeks before they hand you back control of your account

And they go based on the original information on the account not any future updates so no one can change the private info

That's not the proccess

You ask for a unauthorized access case and are sent to escalations team they take down all your original info from you unless it's not your account

Then send it up to global escalations offline team and they investigate 3-5 business days sometimes 2-3 weeks depending on case load

You cannot access your account or anyone else can access your account during this time

If more information is needed they will call or email you. Once completed you will get an email telling you what they found (not private information about anyone who has access( and return the account if it's yours

And how to go about the password reset proccess

Gamer tags are tied to accounts and can only be changed when you go through the process to change the gamer tag. No one can give you a gamer tag to assign to another account.

So, neither you or as you stated, "people threating to take the tag as soon as it is chnaged" can take that gamer tag.

The gamer tag won't be made available right away if you change the gamer tag on that original account.
