gamer tag changed without permission

Sorry to hear this. Gamertag changes can also happen if it goes against their terms and service on being an appropriate Gamertag. I do not think they are two gamer tags. One is a gamer tag and the other is your nickname. The gamer tag cannot be changed without paying a fee. Your nickname you can change anytime you want

the only way to get a new gamer tag without numbers is if nobody else has the same tag when you go to change gamer tag it will tell you if its available without the # and numbers hope this helps

Sorry to hear it. Your new tag looks like it has been changed due to an enforcement action. If this is the case then you will need to pay to change it to something else.
