I urgently need my gamer tag changed back to my original gamer tag. I've been told that I have to wait for it to be recycled before I can have it back. We are a group of professional gamers who have a new magazine coming out early next year and the print
has my original gamer tag in it. PLEASE HELP!

Help with changing gamer tag

i want to change my gt to TidalSnow but someone else has already got it and I don't want to replace one of the letters with numbers so if someone could suggest how I change it up a bit to use it that'd be great.

I've tried it with a space between as Tidal Snow but someone's got that too.

Hello you can check for the Gamertags availability here

However if it is unavailable you will need to wait. There is nothing more that can be done.

Sorry to say but once a gamertag is changed is not possible to revert / undo this process.
If you want to change it back, you may need to pay the fee if the free change was used :c

Also, in some cases the previous gamertag can't be available.

I have been having the same issue since yesterday, I'm wondering how common this happened because this is very very frustrating to me.

I've changed my default generated name when I made my account on XBOX. I've had my Mojang account merged into this account as we were required to. After a while of not playing minecraft (JAVA), I log back in with that same, microsoft XBOX account information, and my gamertag/user has changed. My old gamertag shows ONLY when I install the bedrock version for PC. But once I open bedrock and exit out of the game, and launcher, my username goes back to the original default name I was given. In addition to this issue, I also have lose all data in achievements and all the friend's I've added.

I've contacted XBOX support, they ultimately told me they were unable to help me with this issue and redirected me to contact minecraft support, so I did. I have now been redirected once more by minecraft support back to microsoft.

This name change was NOT made known to me, nor did I want this or gave permission to. I've tried everything from rebooting my PC, clearing my cookies anc cache, uninstalling and reinstalling the minecraft launcher and I even tried changing my gamertag back to how I originally had it and it gives me two errors. Either to try again or that the username/tag has been taken.

Seriously please fix this. It's ridiculous.

IF it was due to your gamer tag you'd have been forced to change your tag, I have had friends who have had to change their tags, you wouldn't get a temp ban of a gamer tag. so better go back and figure out what you did to warrant a ban, cuz it wasn't about
your gamer tag....
