Ha, support in the end was a joke in my case.

first they used the terms of the promotion that was promoted to me in my country yet apparently not for me as a crutch and excuse to not give the code.

then they refused to return the money under the terms of sale conditions, despite the misleading nature of the issue at hand of it being promoted to me and available to me on my canadian xbox set for canada on the canada xbox store.

esssentially scamming me of my money since it was sold to me under false pretenses.

lesson learned here though, from now on promoted to me or not on my canadian xbox on the canadian store, i will be thinking twice and verifying by other means before or if i even participate in any promotions going forward.

12+ years of loyalty means nothing to them too, would rather keep my money, knowingly have the bad pr, and possibly risk losing a very loyal customer heading into the next gen of consoles.

and as i explained to them its not like it was a one off glitch being promoted to me, it was on there for the whole week and entirety of the promotion in question.

its also not like this is a regular occurence or request i make of them either, this is first time ive had to reach out to support at all in those 12+ years and also make this type of request for a refund.

All the $$$ spent in those years and they couldnt return $15 to me that was sold under false pretences. Apparently a multi-billion $ company needs the money more than i do, so they can keep it at this point.

According to the sales from that site, that movie was not eligible for the promotion. The movie was part of a rental sale, but rentals are not part of the promotion. aka.ms/gamerflicks

Strange, I remembered it being eligible for the promotion. And I really purchase the movie on the store, I am confirming you that I didn’t rent the movie.
