    Gamepass Ultimate multiplayer access won't work with other accounts on home xbox


    Hi, I have Game Pass Ultimate and set my Home Xbox on another console so a second account can use it. That account can access Game Pass games but can’t play online multiplayer. The Home Xbox is set correctly and the subscription is active. Please help — multiplayer should be working.

    When I attempt to play online on Minecraft on any account other than my own on the home xbox, it redirects me to buy gamepass. This should not happen.

    Difference between Game pass and Gold live

    Xbox Live Gold ($9.99/month) = Online Access to play Multiplayer Games

    Xbox Gamepass ($9.99/month) = Access to a library of games to play

    Xbox Ultimate Gamepass ($14.99/month) = Gold + Gamepass

    You don't need gamepass for that siinces it's not on there

    You need core or ultimate to play multiplayer though

    Home console works as long as it's not s disk

    Microsoft Family Gamepass Ultimate sharing

    Adding someone to the "family" doesn't give them access to anything. The only way to share GPU is to have the account with the subscription sign in to whichever console you wish to share to.
    But my brothers account is in the Microsoft family and that's how he gets Gamepass Ultimate. We don't use the home Xbox function to share Gamepass with each other.

    If it's an online only game or you are trying.to play multiplayer yes ultimate or.core is needed for consoles

    Gamepass for.consoles are only for gamepass access.NOT MUltiplayer access

    XBOX GOLD AND GAMEPASS

    step 1. make your account the home account

    step 2. purchase gamepass ultimate on that account that is home (gamepass ultimate has both gold and gamepass in it)

    step 3. any game purchased on your account can be used by any other account on that same console (excludes season passes or certain account specific purchases like skins etc)
