Gamepass Ultimate, already have Gold

Hi, i renewed my sub for xbox live gold a month or 2 ago but recently i have been given a 3mnth gamepass ultimate code, if i redeem the code & cancel gamepass after the 3mnths will my already yearly prepaid gold cease or just continue on as normal??

No you don't need to cancel the subscription, you will simply need to wait the natural expiration.

From what you have written I think that you have a Gamepass Ultimate (which already includes all Gold benefits), therefore your only way to have only an active gold is this:

- cancel the recurring billing for Gamepass Ultimate (already done)

- wait until the natural expiration of Gamepass Ultimate

- Buy a Gold Membership Card or activate the gold subscription on the xbox store

Unfortunately there is no way to make a direct downgrade from Gamepass Ultimate to Gold

I believe if you already have gold or gamepass that the month you had left on gold/game pass get converted to ultimate gamepass so you get 3 months added to your subscription of gold/gamepass

if you currently have gamepass ultimate then you already have gold, if you add that 12 month card to your current sub then it will convert that 12 months gold card into 4 months of gamepass ultimate, which will stack on your current sub.

Probably because of the ultimate gamepass, do you already have Live Gold? For example, if you purchase 3 months of gamepass and convert it into the ultimate gamepass + live gold it becomes 2 months, see with the support what is the problem with your code,

When you have two different subscriptions (Gold and Game Pass) and redeem an Ultimate Subscription, the two before will mix and convert depending on a conversion table.
