gamepass renew and hard copy disc

hello i have a hard copy disc of grand theft auto. I purchased this disc before gamepass was a big deal. Now I do not subscribe to gamepass however my xbox is telling me that I need to renew my subscription. I deleted the game and reset my console now
the game doesnt even read in the xbox nor does the store recognize that i own the game. Im sure some of my other games that have gamepass on it are facing the same situation. Can someone fix this please? Seems a little ridiculous for as much as I have spent
on xbox.

And just to be sure, you do have the disc in the console as you're trying to play?

The store won't show that you own the game since you bought it on disc and not digitally.

I did that with Minecraft. If you try to launch it without the disc, it will say yoou need to renew Gamepass. Or If you tried to boot the game on disc and it asks you to renew Gamepass, then check the disc and try again.

if you previously played fh4 on gamepass then got the hard copy maybe try uninstall your installed version and reinstall using the disc

I canceled gamepass and purchased 12 months of xbox live gold. I own Elder Scrolls Online (hard copy) and all expansions. It says i don't have a gamepass subscription when I try to play it and won't let me play. I will be trying to contact live
support tomorrow. Anyone see this before?

Just remember, as you said you had a hard copy (presume you mean a disc) you will need to insert this for the game to recognise you have purchased it.

As an example, I have GTA5 on disc. When it was in game pass, it worked without me inserting the disc. As soon as it was removed, I had to start using the disc again.
