Gamepass PC - issues with full screen mode for some games

Hello

I have been using gamepass for my PC for sometime now. I find that some games run well in full screen mode and I have no issues.

However I have found that some games do not. My most recent example is Yakuza Like a Dragon. When it is put in full screen mode on my native 4k laptop - it runs incredibly slowly.

If I put it in a window mode - then it runs.

I have seen other examples of this question - but the forum seems to be locked out without resolution. Is there a fix?

If your games are running better in Windowed mode then it suggests to me that their rendering resolution is lower while doing this.

4K is very, very graphics heavy for a laptop, what's your system specs? Also, what games are you playing?

In full screen mode you'll need to lower the resolution in the options menu's of the games you've trying to play to get better performance.

Sounds like you are playing window mode vs full screen. There are multiple video modes depending on games. Windowed, window full screen and full screen. Do you have the same issue if you switch modes?

Is there an option for Windowed mode? I haven't played those specific games to test, but some games have Full Screen and Windowed mode, which can run in conjunction. A Full Screen + Windowed mode would exhibit the symptoms you're describing, which is
being full screen, but still have the window options available. If there is a Windowed option, turn that off.

I was playing it on full screen mode. But when i crash on full screen mode it will freeze my whole pc and even ctrl+alt+del won't do anything except a force shut down.

I believe my pc meet the min req. drivers are current. I have problem when the pc is cold.

Did you sign up to Xbox GamePass for PC or for Console? If you signed up for Xbox GamePass for Console , some games, specifically play anywhere games are still playable on PC. You need to sign up for either GamePass on PC or GamePass Ultimate to access
