    Gamepass PC app - Unknown Available.


    As with others and most, When i try to install a game via Gamepass PC App, I receive the following:

    When I go into the settings, I see this:

    I can't change anything on where the games install at or change (per the first image) or install anything from the Gamepass App.

    I can, however, install from the MS Store, but then the games don't launch, they just open and close.
    There is no error messages, just nothing will install via the Gamepass App.

    What have I tried:
    Removing the registry for GamingServices and GamingServicesNet
    Reinstalling GamingServices (That took me awhile to figure out how to actually do that)
    Attempted to remove GamingServices via Powershell (It gave me an error on trying that one). So that was a fail
    Rebooted several times
    Windows Updates
    WSReset.exe ran

    The only thing I haven't done is uninstalled/Reinstalled Gamepass App (Will I lose everything I already have installed?)
    (Refuse to do a Windows Reset, way too much to lose from that)

    The drive in the image (F drive) is a 4TB drive with plenty of room on it. So space isn't the issue.

    When running PowerShell for GamingServices, I get this back:

    I have read and followed many many many different attempts as I've seen others with the same issues, but back in 2020 and 2021 everything I did, none of it works.

    This was just recent that it started (Right after the last Gamepass Update).

    Hi, sorry to hear that :c
    In this case when the in-place upgrade doesn’t work the best option is perform a custom installation for your system.

    But before that I can suggest you one more thing. This is:
    Download and open the insider hub app via Microsoft store > in the available previews click on the windows gaming program and join > once joined try waiting a bit and check the Microsoft store for new updates

    Once you update the Xbox related apps restart the PC and check if you’re able to install games again

    If not you can leave the windows gaming program and please proceed with the custom installation (you can recover personal files later)

    The most recent update was actually today - I ran the update to see if it would resolve the issue, but it didn't. So if an update caused the issue, it would have had to been a previous update.

    sfc scan I did as well (I forgot to mention that one), inwhich when I ran it, there were no issues found. On main drive as well as the other drive.

    I will look into the 3rd option when I start my other PC back up again.

    It appears that unfortunately, the 3rd step did not work either. I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling Gamepass for PC, and now it says {} unknown available. As the first time it showed {F:} Unknown available, but now, it shows no Drive at all.

    And as it appears it's only the Xbox Gamepass games. EA games install fine (I tried a couple of them). And still, under the settings, it doesn't show any selection for default.

    Just to add, Gamepass games install fine on my other PC. And Steam games install fine on this PC (The one I'm having the issue with). As well as EA Games. It's only the Gamepass games having the install issues.

    1. Try uninstalling the most recent windows update, just in case it is the one causing conflicts
