Gamepass offline

Gamepass games are not working in offline mode. My device is set as my home Xbox and I entered offline mode. I can access purchased games offline(ex. Elden Ring). Forza Horizon and all other gamepass games are a no go though..

I'm going to answer this question . NO! gamepass games cannot be played offline . Otherwise ppl would buy gamepass download 200 + games go offline n never buy gamepass again . This is copyright and licensing issue that will stay as is . The answer is

as gears 4 is in gamepass that licence overwrites your own licence whilst subscribed and gamepass games cannot be played offline i believe. also there are a large amount of gold games that require online connection to run.

but there is another option to try as you are not connected.

go to settings, network and select offline. this then tells the console to run in offline mode.

Let's refresh the console's system cache.

NOTE: This will remove the profiles on your console, make sure that you remember the email and password to your account.

No data or game saves will be lost doing this, everything is backed up to the cloud servers.

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

2. Select Settings.

3. Select System.

4. Select Console info

5. Select Reset console.

6. Select Reset and keep my games & apps

This will also help sync the data on your console properly.

The servers have already been fixed. Please try your games again.

I’ll update here tomorrow. I don’t really understand to be honest though. I thought the whole point of offline is in case I can’t communicate with the servers either because they are down or my internet is down.
