Gamepass games unable to use online features

Please go to Settings > Apps > Apps Features. Select Gaming Services, then click Advanced options. Click the repair button, try launching the games again using the Xbox app and see if it works.

HomegrownSilky is correct, online multiplayer is a service feature of Gamepass subscription packages. Other than some free-to-play games, you will need such a subscription to access those online features. This has been the status quo since XBOX Live started.

That's what xbox live has been always a pay for service if you tend to use the service online. Yes you can play a game to your hearts content but you can't access those online features multiplayer etc without a gold account or gamepass etc

Just to understand the problem: are you only unable to play online multiplayer games or are you not able to synchronize your games with the cloud? If it's the first case: your are displayed here as being on a silver membership but you need a gold subscription
to use online multiplayer features.

Yes you keep all of them. *Outside of games with gold*

On a side note Gamepass games however require you to have active gamepass to play them *Unless you already owned/bought them*

I would like to add that even if you own a Gamepass subscription you need to have Xbox live gold to access online features within the games on the Gamepass program
