Gamepass Games save data questions

I have gamepass for windows 10 (the $10 one) and i have a few questions about game saves

where is my save data located (local or cloud)

is there a way to backup my save data if it is stored locally

if it is stored on the cloud if i fail to make a payment will my cloud saves be deleted

is there a grace period between payments where my cloud data stays

is there anyway for me to back up my save files to a 3rd party?

if i uninstall the game to save data on my drive do the save files get deleted

Gamepass Ultime will work on all Xbox. Even if the games do change you will not lose any saved data unless you delete it yourself.

You CAN actually delete your save game data locally on your xbox and leave it in the cloud. Go to your games/apps section in dashboard and go to the game in question. There are options to delete the local save game data and save game data in the cloud. You
can delete local data or delete local and cloud data.

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We understand have question on save data. To answer your question, yes your progress would be saved as it is the same game. This is all stored on the cloud. So when you purchase the game, then go ahead launch the game
will say syncing data, this is retrieving your save data.
