Gamepass games don't launch

Recently I reinstalled Windows and tried to play some games from gamepass, but all of them didn't start (except Minecraft bedrock, but it is in separated WindowsApps folder, maybe that is why it works). I click on shortcut or play button, nothing happens, no error.

In event viewer I get this message:

Tried to repair, reinstall gaming services, it didn't help

By the error message, looks like the gaming services app is having issues to launch. Please try to reinstall it:

- Go to Start > Search for PowerShell > Right Click > Run as Administrator.

- In Windows PowerShell, type the following command and press Enter:

get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers

- Restart your computer. Open PowerShell again and run the command below:

start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN

- Install the app on that page and select Yes when you receive the User Account Control (UAC) prompt.

- Go to Start > Settings > Gaming > Xbox Networking > See if your connection test is ok. You should aim for open NAT and connected to server. If you receive any error message, please let me know.

Try to run your games again and let me know how it goes.

Apparently, it was something to do with "Windows gaming" preview program from Xbox insider hub. I opted out of it, then reinstalled windows services. Worked fine since then

Upd: gaming service version changed from 4.66.9001.0 to 4.66.2001.0. Maybe newer version is bugged

Thanks for letting me know! I don't buy any digital games on the Xbox, only Gamepass so I cant tell

I hope they fixed it soon...

Will pillars of eternity 2 be on gamepass on launch for the console?

It does not look to be a Gamepass title at launch. Assuming how long it took for the first game to be added to Gamepass, I am doubtful you would see it in the near future.

you can also use the uwp hook to add gamepass games to the steam launcher and use the launch terminal to alter res etc, some do some don't though.
