Gamepass for PC not recognising subscription

Whenever I try to install a Gamepass game to my PC, it prompts me to subscribe. However, I'm already a subscriber. I've confirmed this by checking https://account.microsoft.com/services/pcgamepass/billing.

When it prompts me to pay for a subscription, it won't process the payment. It gives me an error saying "Something went wrong on our end". I have the same issue whether I use the Xbox Beta app, or the Windows Store app.

This is a new problem for me - I've been able to play games with the gamepass for PC app ever since it was released.

This is also preventing me from playing any games that are already installed.

So I just reset Windows on my machine. And I still get this issue.

For anyone that experiences this, here's the issue.

There seemed to be an issue with processing my payment, for whatever reason.

I followed these directions from
this thread.

Contact us here
Select Xbox One
Select See other options
Select Payment & billing under Account management
Select show contact options and go to step 4
Select "Request a call from Support" if available within hours of operation or there should be a number for you to call and hours of operation for your region if a callback option is not available

But instead of a call, I just did the online chat. The person I spoke to fixed it on their end and in a few minutes everything was fixed.

Same for me on console. And no response for help from the xbox overlords

I sat in online chat for 2 hours at the front of the queue, and got ignored.

When you check the
Services page at the Microsoft website you should see the Gamepass subscription here. If this is showing you as having a gamepass subscription can you try a console restart by pressing the Xbox button on the controller select the System tab then restart
the console and hopefully the subscription will now be recognised on your console.
