I recommend doing the recommended step but if you want to do another step first you can try to do a clean boot and if the problem persists reinstall the game.

Maybe a third-party program is causing the problem, maybe a clean boot can fix it. Also, check if your antivirus may have blocked the game file and also disable third-party programs to start with the system in the task manager.

so far ive went almost all the way through the list provided but havent been able to get the game to stay running. I did look at my event viewer and at the last crash i check the info about the event and found error code/exception code: 0xc0000005 ,

have any good info on troubleshooting that code?

Open Event Viewer by pressing the Windows key and type "Event Viewer"
Click on the "Windows Logs" folder
Click on "Application"
Click on the "Date and Time" column to sort and look for "Application Error" around the date/time your crash happened.
After you find the Application Error for the game, you will notice "Information" on the right.

Me to, it crashes without error. I checked the dump log and I am getting exception code 0xc0000005.
