Gamepass disabling my purchased games.

I bought chivalry 2 on launch. And I recently stop paying for game pass. Once I installed the game it insists I have to have gamepass to play. Says I don't have access to multi-player.

Yes I own the game. Yes I restarted my Xbox Yes I Uninstalled and reinstalled from rhe appropriate place.

I want to confirm, is this issue occurring when you try to use online feature or play online with other people on the Xbox version of your purchased games?

If that’s correct, it’s important to know that paid games, like FC24, Modern Warfare III, l, GTA V, etc. require having an active Xbox Live Gold (now named Game Pass Core) or Game Pass Ultimate subscription to access online features.

However, Xbox Live Gold is not required for free games like Fortnite, Call of Duty: Warzone, Halo Infinite multiplayer, etc.

All games are installed to HDD (Internal or external USB) and are run from there regardless if they were purchased on disc or digital. Any games that you previously purchased on disc which are now included in GamePass no longer need the disc inserted to
confirm your purchase license as long as the title remains in GamePass as the system knows you are entitled to play it based on your GamePass subscription.

It remains to be seen what happens when a previously purchased disc title is removed from GamePass. Some of my disc titles fall into this category of having been added to GamePass however I can't comment about that leaving GamePass experience until it happens.

I fixed it by terminating my gamepass uninstalling all my xbox games, throwing my console out of the window and disabling the stupid scsi controller that enables the operating system to make these drives like its cranking out popcorn at a movie theater and the problem stopped ( not sure it was the console out of the window or disabling the storage adapter since I can't uninstall gaming services on win 11)
