Gamepad Controller (wired) won't respond

I have a wired GamePad controller I have plugged into the pc for the first and received a message (in Win 10) that the device is ready (with LED on) but does not respond (in Xbox WarGames). Is there software or drivers that I need to down load? The manufacturer
says not. Can anyone help please?

Playstation forums for help with troubleshooting your PS3 controller.

The Xbox forums does not cover support with Playstation hardware.

I'm trying to use my PS3 controller for my lap top but wont work. Do I need to download Motioninjoy

 

check windows for any driver updates for devices might help

 

Who is the manufacturer of the game pad?

Is it just that one game it doesn't work in? Have you tried other games?

 

The controllers manufactuerr is without its makers name but common on the market I beleive. It doesn’t respond to anything on screen eg moving the cursor. The seller claims it is compatible with Win 10 and earlier. Only the 1 game type I have tried so
far.

 

Does the game have a setting where you need to enable the use of a gamepad?

The named buttons are Select Analog and Start.

I believe we have tried pressing each and every combination and permutation in turn but without success.

Are you able to follow those steps? Does anything show up?

 

With using the Calibration button selected and run the joystick movement shows on the panel. When tested running the game (WarGame) there is no response shown when moving the pad controls. No joy.

Unfortunately when its not a Microsoft made product it is generally hit or miss. Windows 10 has all drivers installed for all gaming controllers and equipment. You could connect and use it for actual computer game but it might not be compatible with the
accessories app for play anywhere games for Xbox in general. If you have exhausted all trouble shooting I would contact support for the device. Sorry for the inconvenience. Have a good day!
