    Dear Experts,

    I wanted to upgrade my commentary and gaming audio so I bought a soundblaster Audigy FX 5.1 card and had it inserted into the mainboard. After doing this the problem I have is when the recording length reaches to the 6th or 8th minute and the audio starts becoming choppy and sounding like double or static. I am sure that the real time gaming has no problem with audio at all but I don't know how the recorded one becomes like this. Then I restored the output audio back to onboard Realtek and tried the recording. Amazingly the problem is gone. What is my problem ? It seems that the Gamebar doesn't work well with the add-on sound card. I would much regret if I had to throw away the new soundcard because the audio is great. Please give me your advice how to fix this.

    Sorry guys,

    I found the problem, that is i put the mic near the outer speaker, and even the audio is switched to my headphone, the static is still coming out from the speaker and thats why it created the issue. I distanced the mic from speaker and the issue is gone.

    Xbox game bar doesn't record my microphone when i change recording settings to record everything in my pc but it does when i pick game + microphone

    thats why i use obs to record, gamebar can record all output sound or game and mic, mic is not an output sound only input. it is pretty much usless for that.

    plus obs is a damn site better.

    It's like it used to record from the mic and from the audio sent to the headset and audio sent to the speakers but now its the mic and only the audio output selected in the sound setting in the system tray on the windows task bar.

    Xbox DVR on PC problem.

    Since you've designated it to only record game audio, I'd first take a look at your sound options in the game. inputs/outputs. See what it's set to output to. You can check those outputs in the Playback and Recording tabs in the Sound option from control
    panel. Might need to designate a seperate line for YouTube/browser playback than Battlefield V, or a seperate device to play music entirely.

    Then again, it is possible that the playback is being picked up by the Microphone, in which case you'd have to work on directional mics or headphones to prevent that sound from playing via the mic.

    Past that, I'd take a look to make sure your audio drivers are up to date.

    I don't have an answer, but I do have videos with and without sound. After my "Record That" prompt, the resulting 30 second DVR clip has sound. When using the DVR's Start Recording feature to record and edit a 2:49 video, the audio is not present.
