Gamebar accesing microphone even though it does NOT have permission

Every single time i start a game that uses gamebar for gaming it will automatically enable microphone. I have disabled acces for gamebar to be allowed to use microphone (https://imgur.com/a/lc4UgEn) yet it STILL DOES. It has even gone so far that i had to manually disable the entire microphone function in my bluetooth headset for gamebar to stop using it. I recently got a usb microphone and it STILL immediately uses it. I had to find out while playing that the entire time my microphone has been broadcasting every sound. This is NOT ACCEPTABLE. Where is the option to STOP GAMEBAR from using my microphone!? This has happened in both Halo master chief collection and sea of thieves.

Well, when it stops working again, i just re-enable the write permissions, disable and enable the microphone on the gamebar and relock the permissions on regedit.
I forgot to mention that I was using an older version of the gamebar, without the xbox socials and stuff, that came pre-installed on windows, and after I accidentaly updated it, the issue got way worse, and I'm not sure if there's a way to downgrade it again

and about the forum post you linked, there's another link in it that dates back to 2018, and I'm pretty sure I've seen posts dating back to about 2016ish
idk but I think microsoft just doesn't care.

Did you give the app permission to your microphone? It won't connect you if you don't give it permission to the microphone.

try here to see if any of this helps, might not be gamebar that is doing it, i know teams is annoying and does it but skyoe and steam can do it in the background.

Some additional information:

- this is not a hardware problem. The microphone works fine on the parents account

- I created a new child account and gave it exactly the same permissions as the child account that does not work.

The microphone works fine on the newly created child account.

The party feedback showing that microphone works shows up for an instant when switching to the account that does not work.

I tried resetting all family settings for the account that does not work, but that did not make a difference.
