Game won’t transfer into my internal hard drive

The data transfer cable will not plug into the Halo hard drive. The transfer cable evidently cannot tranfer dater from a console with an internal hard drive to another console with an internal hard drive. I will have to transfer my data to an older external
hard drive, then transfer it to the Gears console. I just hope I do not lose any data.

To transfer games from the internal hard drive to an external hard drive on an Xbox Series S or X, navigate to "My games & apps", select the game you want to transfer, choose "Move or Copy", then select the external drive as the destination and confirm.

Call of duty modern warfare is an awesome game! Catch up and I don’t believe it would crash your external hard drive because that’s how I Play my game so I won’t have to waste space on my internal hard drive.

Upon checking my records here, it seems to be an issue with the internal hard drive. Is there a chance that you can transfer the games to an external hard drive and see if it syncs properly after that?
