    game won't launch from disc, instead it starts installing a duplicate.


    I installed far cry 5 from the Microsoft store, but when I insert the disc and try to play it it won't launch, instead it will start installing a duplicate of the game and always gets stuck at 53%. How do I fix this? I have tried every troubleshooting step but nothing changes

After you download the game from the Xbox store, I suggest you disable your console's internet and see if the problem is resolved by inserting the game disc. If the problem is not resolved please try downloading the game through the Xbox mobile app, after installing try inserting the disc and see if the problem is resolved.

    i just solve it DENAz666 instead of going to the "My Games and Apps" just place the game disc, and on the dashboard where you can launch the game disc in use, press the start bottom and select "Manage Collection" and there it will show all the game on
    the game disc and install them from there.

    Are you trying to queue installs? You should be able to queue installs, but the game won't launch without the disc in.
